A lot of bikers visit the Anamosa area for such events as the Hillclimb, J&P Cycles Open House, or the National Motorcycle Museum. If you are like me and after a day of such activities you just want to get away from the crowds, this is the place to be. Sure, you have to hike about a half mile to it and there is no electricity or running water. But sometimes that is the point. Peace and quiet to do whatever the hell you want, and no one there to tell you not to. If you aren't into "Ruffing It", Matsell Bridge has regular campsites too.
