Indoor Coke Syrup Flat Track Racing
The North Iowa Fair Association is proud to present; The Day of Thunder on the Syrup, in Mason City, Iowa.
Karts, Bikes and Quads will be lighting up the North Iowa Fairgrounds on December 14th and 15th and January 4th and 5th!
This is the first indoor coke syrup racing event the Fairgrounds has ever seen. Friday night will offer a controlled practice and Saturday afternoon racing will take place.

Test and Tune Fee: (open for any bike, proper safety gear required)
Friday, $25 - Saturday, $20 plus $15 pit pass or charity ride arm band.
Test and tune from 1pm until end of racing. (as many runs as time permits between other races)

Street Bike Bracket Class: Entry fee: $50, payouts per schedule on ERP website.
6.20 Index Street Bike Class: Entry fee: $50, Payout per schedule on ERP website.
5.80 Index class: Entry fee: $50, Payout per schedule on ERP website.
Pit vehicle race: $20 entry, Trophies to winner and runner up.
Vintage Drag Bike Bracket class, 1972 and older bikes, no electronics, bracket race format.
Double header (2 races 1 day) $50 entry fee
Per race, $20 buy backs.
Payout: 100% of entry fees.
Vintage Drag Bike single and double engine

Flat Track Excitement - Knoxville Raceway

The AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Insurance Grand National Championship presented by Motorcycle-Superstore.com and Lucas Oil is gearing up for the busiest part of its season as the Grand National riders make the drive from one AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Insurance Grand National event on back to back weekends.
With the Knoxville Half-Mile (Knoxville, IA) approaching quickly, Knoxville Raceway is opening their grounds for a test and tune session on Friday, August 24th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The half-mile race marks the 13th event of the season and all riders are welcome.
There are many new teams and a wide variety of equipment for the 2012 season with Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, Ducati, Triumph, KTM and Suzuki all expected to be represented in the "Twins" class this year.
The test and tune will be open to the press and public where they can get an up-close preview of the paddock and parking opens at 10 a.m. Knoxville Raceway does ask for a $50 donation to offset costs.

Round four of the CFTNC series is the 24th Annual motorcyle races at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport. Along with one of the largest antique motorcycle swap meets. They have over 100 riders coming from all over the country, East coast to West coast!! Don't let antique fool you, they go fast! Races will be held on August 31, 2012. Major classes include; Vintage 250/360, '70's Singles, '80's Singles, and Vintage Twins. Other classes may become available. Don't miss out. There will only be one more race left in the series for this season!

Motorcyles On The High Banks

This unique event is set take place this coming Sunday, July 15th, at the Marshalltown Speedway. Riders on go-karts, Quads, and Motorcycles will take to the high speed 1/4 mile dirt oval as pit gates open at 11:00 a.m., practice will see green at 1:00 p.m. with racing to follow. The grandstand admission is just $5.00 for adults and children 12 and under are free. The pit admission is $15.00 and rider registration is $50 and that includes the rider pit pass. The payout will be 75% of each class entry with the Stock Heavy class being 100% payback. This bike was spotted at Quik Trip on the East Side. While refueling I snapped this shot then they drove off. As soon as they pulled out the bike dumped over on the trailer. Wise cracks ensued from the QT Patrons. Specifically a lady in a mini van yelled - He dumped his own bike!
Sorry dude. Strap down.
